Asked before, answered plainly
Is the scan actually free?
Yes. It runs the full probe battery against public data — no signup, no card. Scans are rate-limited per domain and per requester, so repeat runs of the same domain re-serve the recent result.
Do I have to connect Google Search Console?
No. It is optional and read-only. Connecting unlocks index-health evidence — submitted vs indexed ratio, impressions per page cluster. Tokens are encrypted at rest and you can revoke access at any time from your Google account.
Is the content AI-generated?
The numbers never are. Data renders first, deterministically — tables, charts, metrics. Language-model prose fills constrained slots only, every number in it is validated against the underlying data payload, and advice language is linted out.
Do you buy links?
No. No bought links, no link reselling, no cross-customer interlinking — a permanent product decision. The link module automates earned tactics only: embeddable widgets, citable data cuts, unlinked-mention reclamation.
We are regulated. Can we use this?
That is the design intent. Every template carries YMYL disclosure slots, no-advice language rules, and customers under FINRA, FCA, or MiFID get a mandatory review step before batch publish.
Where do the generated pages live?
Serpital hosts them on your subdomain via CNAME (compare.yourdomain.com), or deploys into your own Vercel/Netlify account. Core Web Vitals, schema, and index hygiene stay guaranteed either way.
